This section allows the user to customize how the various error codes (Diagnostic Trouble Codes) will show up (ie: what ID they are mapped to). This can be useful if the BMS is being integrated into a vehicle that already has a list of expected DTC code IDs that the BMS should conform to.
Code Identifier refers to the first part of the DTC ID ("P", "C", "B", "U"). For more information on what these prefixes indicate, please consult the official OBD2 documentation.
The second part indicates the actual ID code of the DTC. This can be a value from 0-0x3FFF.
It is not recommended that these settings be changed unless the application requires them to be different. Changing them unnecessarily makes it more difficult to diagnose problems (eg: the manual and BMS utility assume these codes are set to the default values for reporting their descriptions).
